It is also possible to specify a position (property wfpposition) in context of this group. In this case the process instance element is displayed in the worklist of all users having this role.

Abstract Participant (COOWF@1.1:wfpmetaparticipant)

This property stores an abstract workflow participant like the process initiator or the responsible for process. The abstract participant is evaluated and stored in the participant property when the state of the activity instance changes from Waiting to Startable. Changes of the evaluated properties (e.g. the object owner) made afterwards are not considered.

Explanation:
In this field an abstract participant can be selected, e.g. "Responsible for Process", "Object Group" or "Current User".
