FMEA with AI supportPermanent link for this heading

Fabasoft Approve now supports users with AI-based suggestions when performing an FMEA. The following AI-supported functions are available in the FMEA:

  • Chat with the FMEA
It is possible to ask the AI questions about FMEA and quickly receive helpful answers. This allows you to retrieve specific information in order to obtain sound initial data for analysis. This is particularly advantageous for new employees or individuals who are not yet familiar with the structure of specific FMEA.
  • Generate suggestions for failure modes
The AI supports you in identifying possible failure modes. It analyzes the structure of the FMEA and makes appropriate suggestions regarding potential failure modes. In this way, it serves as a helpful reminder so that no important aspects are overlooked.
  • Generate suggestions for consequences and causes
The AI can suggest possible consequences and causes for an identified failure mode. This allows new perspectives to be opened up and potential relationships to be systematically taken into account.

  • AI-supported checklist responses
The integrated AI can automatically answer checklist entries, including explanatory comments and references to relevant documents.
  • Weighting of checklist items
Individual entries can now be weighted to better reflect their relevance within the audit.

As a user you can expect the following new feature.

Set the reply date for letters dynamicallyPermanent link for this heading

In Fabasoft Approve, the required response date can now be set dynamically when creating a letter using an offset in days. The specified offset refers to the date the letter was sent.

As soon as the letter is sent, the system automatically calculates the actual response date according to the formula: date of dispatch + offset = required response date.

Note: Either a fixed date or an offset (as a positive integer) may be specified, but not both at the same time.

As an end user you can expect the following new features.

Source reference for AI-generated answersPermanent link for this heading

In Fabasoft Approve, AI-supported responses to questionnaires, checklists, and forms have been further improved. A new feature is that AI-generated responses reference the underlying document as the source and name the section of the document from which the information originates. This allows users to trace the origin of a response and check it specifically.

Adjust initial revision of document listsPermanent link for this heading

In Fabasoft Approve, you can now customize the initial revision when creating a document list from a template. The planned documents within the list are then automatically initiated with this corresponding revision.

This feature is particularly helpful when the revision scheme is specified by the end customer. This means that planning lists do not have to be maintained multiple times for different revision schemes.

This function is only available if all documents in the list are still in their original, unmodified revision. Once a document has been revised, the initial revision cannot be changed retrospectively.
