Find out more about new features and improvements in Fabasoft Approve.
The following new features await you in the quality management solution area.
As a user you can expect the following new features.
Fabasoft Approve now analyzes images directly using AI as part of the issue registration. The AI recognizes what is depicted in an image (e.g., a pump) and what the issue is (e.g., a scratch). This information is used to achieve better results when pre-filling the metadata for the issue.
In Fabasoft Approve, the effectiveness review process in the 8D process has been improved. A issue can now only be closed once all associated actions have been implemented and the effectiveness review processes have been completed in full. This ensures that all corrective actions have actually been completed before the process is terminated.
The following new feature awaits you in the correspondence management solution area.
As a user you can expect the following new feature.
In Fabasoft Approve, it is now possible to create a contract request in Fabasoft Contracts directly from a directory in the correspondence management.
Using the “Create Contract Request” menu, contracts and legal files can be requested directly in Fabasoft Approve without having to switch to Fabasoft Contracts. The contracts and legal files resulting from the request are displayed directly in the directory.

To use this new feature, you need a Fabasoft Contracts license and access rights to a contract list or legal area where requests are permitted. In the directory, the option for using Fabasoft Contracts requests must also be activated under “Integration settings.”
Fabasoft Approve now allows you to navigate directly to existing comments within a document. When you open the “Adjust Comments” dialog, a split view is displayed: On the left-hand side, you will find (as before) the list of comments in the document, while the right-hand side now displays a PDF preview of the document.
Clicking on the “Jump to Comment” button to the left of a comment takes you directly to the corresponding location in the document.
As an administrator you can expect the following new feature.
In Fabasoft Approve, it is now possible to define picture placeholders in the configuration. This allows existing pictures with a specific alternative text to be replaced by the configured pictures. The image to be inserted can be defined directly by the user via a printout.
These placeholders make it easy to customize cover sheets for specific projects. Customer logos or other images can be inserted directly, and you can specify whether they are available centrally for all projects or only for a single project. This means that the standard template remains unchanged, while each report can be customized individually.
This feature is currently available specifically for cover sheets.
The following new feature awaits you in the technical records management solution area.
