As a user you can expect the following new features.

AI-supported 8D process

Fabasoft Approve now supports the implementation of the 8D process with AI-based suggestions. Instead of the previous AI Assist buttons at the bottom of a dialog window, these buttons are now displayed directly above the respective input fields and are thus clearly assigned.

The following AI-supported functions are available in the 8D process:

• Identify risk:
  The AI determines the severity of the defect based on the defect description and other available information. It also determines whether the defect is safety-related, supplemented by a brief explanation.
• Suggest 8D team:
  The AI proposes a suitable team to handle the case. This is based on roles, responsibilities, and existing process information.
• Propose 8D dates:
  The AI provides recommendations for upcoming dates within the 8D process. Deadlines, dependencies, and historical processing times are taken into account.
• Create problem summary:
  The AI consolidates the existing descriptions into a consolidated problem summary.
• Suggest immediate actions/mitigation measures:
  The AI suggests appropriate measures for immediate mitigation of the problem.
• Update summary of immediate actions:
  The AI creates a consolidated summary of the immediate actions taken.
• Suggest causes:
  The AI generates suggestions for possible causes based on the existing information.
• Determine direct cause and root cause:
  The AI identifies the most likely direct cause and the underlying root cause.
• Update summary of cause detection:
  The AI creates a structured summary of the causes identified.

Common Innovations in the 8D process

The 8D process in Fabasoft Approve has been expanded and optimized. The aim is to present information more clearly and enable more efficient processing.

The following improvements are now available:

• Display causes in the structure tree
  Causes of defects now appear directly in the structure tree – icons immediately show the type of measure and current status.
• Ishikawa analysis
  A new input field allows the causes of a defect to be categorized using the categories of the Ishikawa fishbone analysis. These categories can also be customized at the configuration level. The recorded causes are also displayed in the structure tree of the defect next to the measures.

General AI functions

Fabasoft Approve now provides general AI functions that can be used on most objects. These functions enable the analysis of files and objects, including their metadata.

The following functionalities are now generally available:

• Chat
  This feature enables chatting with documents, limited to the desired context.
• AI Answers
  This feature enables the AI to answer questions, limited to the desired context.
