As an end user, you can expect the following new features.
Users of the multichannel publishing solution can now initiate publication of an entire product consisting of multiple InDesign templates and have an overall PDF generated via the InDesign Server.
As of this version, text and image content can be swapped and repositioned in layout templates as often as desired. This enables more efficient work in the phase of automated typesetting.
Users can create PDF data from XML or HTML sources fully automated from this version onwards. If a corresponding configuration exists, the option is available under "Publish" on a product in Multichannel Publishing.
As administrators, you can expect the following new features.
Administrators now have the option of easily linking the fonts and color profiles from Digital Asset Management in the multichannel publishing configurations.
Administrators of the multichannel publishing solution can now define production services for the Antenna House Formatter and associated delivery formats for PDF generation using PrintCSS in the configuration.
Administrators of the multichannel publishing solution can now create delivery formats in the configuration for overall PDF generation using Adobe InDesign Server. The existing production service configuration has been extended with the ability to define fonts and color profiles for use.
After uploading a new template or a new file to an existing layout template, the Adobe InDesign version of the document is automatically determined and can be viewed in the metadata. This helps administrators to check and assign the appropriate InDesign Server production service.
