As an end user, you can expect the following new features.
Products that consist of print components and child Adobe InDesign layouts are displayed in a flat plan view. The user can add new, blank pages there and define headings. In addition, the status of the layouts is displayed.
In products, the images and text assigned to a layout can be placed automatically via the InDesign Server and the user is shown a preview in the page planning.
As administrators, you can expect the following new features.
For products produced via Adobe InDesign, administrators can define print components and specify a minimum and maximum number of pages.
The user will be notified in case of exceeding or falling short in the page planning.
Administrators can upload InDesign templates in the Multichannel Publishing configuration that can be used for semi-automated production.
In addition to a tagged InDesign file, a mappings.json file needs to be provided, that contains defines how XML is placed into InDesign frames.
