RequirementsPermanent link for this heading

The Fabasoft Cloud Client is based on native messaging technology, so it only works in web browsers or third-party applications (like Mozilla Thunderbird) that are not installed via Snap. Since Mozilla Firefox is pre-installed on Ubuntu via Snap, it must be removed and installed as a classic DEB package. There are several guides on how to accomplish this. For example, take a look at:

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1399383/how-to-install-firefox-as-a-traditional-deb-package-without-snap-in-ubuntu-22: new window

When using a certificate-based authentication the client certificates have to be stored in the Fabasoft Client. To do so, open the context menu of the notification symbol and click “Options”. On the “Certificates” tab, import the client certificate.
